Eligibility:
- Students in Grade 7 – Grade 12 Fall 2024 (ages 12-18)
Recruiting timeline:
- 5/18: Application opens to the public.
- 6/9: Application closes at 11:59pm CDT
- 6/12: In-person candidate skill assessment at 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Applicants passing the initial screening will be invited to the skill assessment.
- 6/17 – 6/23: Onsite assessment and interview
- 6/25: Recruiting completes
More Information About Our Team
- Meeting Times:
- Thursday, 7:30pm – 9:30pm via Zoom
- Saturday, 1:30pm – 4:30pm, in person at the field (Plano/Frisco, exact location pending)
- Additional meetings will be added as the season progresses toward tournaments and championships.
- Team Member Expectations:
- Consistent attendance and participation in team meetings and outreach activities is expected.
- Participating and attending touranments and competitions throuhgout the season is also expected.
Beginner Robotics Summer Camp
No prior robotics experience needed, taught by our very own team members from Area 52!
Join award-winning FLL alumni for a glimpse inside the robotics world! This program is designed to engage young people in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Teams of students work together to design, build, and program a robot using LEGOs.
Date/Time: 07/08/24 – 07/19/24 Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: Frisco Family YMCA, 3415 W Main St, Frisco, TX 75034
Cost: $200 for YMCA members, $225 for non-members
